Yeah, I think this is the first time I used this ring - it's the 'last' one (f/8). I normally never use it as the widest one (f/2.8) never get's off the lense but here I wanted to show this wonderful cityscape of Nizhniy Novgorod, the city of churches and temples (as you can see from the photograph).

F/stop with me is 99% of the time the widest ring - f/2.8 I think?
I love the photos to be as blurry as possible but somehow the 'no ring' setup makes the photo unnaturally soft, that's why I always stick to that widest one.

I don't know, but there's got to be something masochistic in entering photos like this on DPC. It kills you right in the start, it puts you down, but the fact that some people appreciate it is priceless. I hope you get my point.
