A lovely photo with nice detail and colour in the fireworks but for me this is just blurry in places and not soft focus (MHO)

IMHO this is more the use of DOF than soft focus as the 'models' face appears fully in focus with non of the characteristic looks of a soft focus 'finished' face

what a beautiful little dog, I am not sure if this is the use of DOF or soft focus but I am going to go with the latter is this is overall a nice image :o)
