Morning Ritualsby jfwolpertComment: Now your talking! A good cup of tea! I like the light on the paper from the window and good use of DOF. Only thing I would have liked is a little better light on the cup :o) |

Welcome to Londonby jimnessComment: This train will shortly be arriving at London Charing Cross :o) Nice dramatic sky and I like the editing you have done. Just spotted the sign but fear that with all the 'railings' this may put the voters off. I like it though, a route I have travelled many times :o) |

Amanda B&W.jpgby wingyisleedsComment: I really like this Keith, I think your choice of B&W really suits the surroundings and gives the image a 'moody' feel. I think a little more detail in Amanda's clothing would be the only thing I would change as at the moment it is too much of a solid dark 'block' of colour. I am impressed with how well things are going with the new camera :o) |

IMG_0711.jpgby tryals15Comment: Really like the unusual angle you have chosen here and your processing suits the subject nicely. I would like to see a little more detail/textures in the building and the windows in the bottom section are a little distracting. I think if there was a little more break in the cloud on the lower right would help too (IMHO) :o) |

Big Benby ingibComment: Taken from down by the river near St Thomas' hospital? I like the beam of light on the right handside that looks like it is trying to illuminate Big Ben. Nice exposure and good colours, for me, there is just a little too much dark on the Left handside :o) |

The things that define usby DogAngelComment: Greetings from the Critique Club Guðbjörg!
Composition:
I like the position of the 'model' in the frame and your choice of location is intriguing. I would agree with some of your commenters that the cross needs to be more defined, as it is now it blends in with the trees too much and isn't as noticable as it could be. It also looks to me as if the 'model' is wearing pyjamas (bed clothes?) which seems out of place and is confusing me a little. The railings on the very edge of the right handside of the frame are a little distracting too.
Technicals:
I think B&W suits the subject and adds to the mood of the image. I am no photoshop expert so can not offer serious technical advice all I would suggest is as above, if its possible to use photoshop to bring out the cross a little more from the background this would really help.
My Personal thoughts:
This image has so much potential, it is already a powerful shot but I feel isolating the 'model' and cross a little would add even more strength and emotion to the overall image.
I would love to know your thinking behind this shot and its title if you get time to explain I would really appreciate it :o)
