This is a strong image, with great detail and textures, of this pincushion Protea. Your ability to capture the moment in your compositions, sets you apart from others, as you always capture 'the moment in time', either naturally, or 'set up' floral shots.
It is always a pleasure to view your flowers,, as you bring so much joy into the world with them.

Delicate yet also strong. I like the detail, or the tiny stem with buds and flowers against the dark background.
I really love the fine detail and textures, of the fuzziness on the soft green buds.

EXCELLENT choice for the posthumous award from you Don, as I also agree with everything you have said about this image. It made me laugh, and I also love the balance of the unusual composition.

The combination of the fluffy textured white clouds, against the blue sky, makes up most of the viewing picture frame, but with a mysterious cat thrown in for fun, just peeking above a stone wall.
