I can see what you may be trying to achieve, and the idea is a good one.
A suggestion that I would love to hear from someone to make this better, is to have seen the word shadow or even pastels, actually written in eyeshadow, with a pencil or eyebrush, if that is allowed in images re the rules, re what you photograph.

This is a story, in a story, re this image, especially if this is how the photographer actually found this subject.
To me, it firstly says loneliness, starkness, windswept, solitary, desolation, but it also says rubbish, junk, recycle, days gone by, re someone has had a party on the beach, and left rubbish behind, or maybe it has just slowly floated there from somewhere else.
Isn't is amazing what one can see in an image.
You may not agree with me, and thats ok.
I liked what I saw in this image.
It definately moved my senses......

I really love the cloud formation in this one. My only suggestion is that I would have maybe cloned the tiny white spots of light, in the foreground, to make it completely black, as they are distracting.
