I think this would have been a really nice picture if it was less blurry, or at least one object was completely stopped. That aside, I think the composition is done well - no distractions and eye is drawn to the odd animal out.

One of my favorites this week. You could almost feel like she's moving across the picture. Nicely composed and I like the desaturated look. My only gripes, and these are very minor, would have been, one, to see the right arm in its entirety and two, if some sort of lighting would eliminate the shadow under her left arm. But a really great photograph nonetheless!

Very ncie photo which probably would have done very well during the photojournalism challenge :) Though this is a stopped motion picture, I feel it conveys motion extremely well, the image is packed with energy, and composed well. Very nice shot!

Foggy Mist

Very nice subject matter. Mist adds a really nice touch. I like the composition of the waterfall and the trees (I like having both of them in the shot, they almost look identical), even the moss - its just the fence that bothers me - feels like a distraction and that it shouldn't be part of the picture. I don't know if another angle would have helped. Overall image has a slight blue cast. It does give the waterfall and its surroundings a mystical quality to it but the small blue cast doesn't make the green colors in the trees or moss look quite right. Fence notwithstaning though, a pretty nice image.

Motion in Negative

Background is a little too burned out. Would have liked to see the motion in a clearer fashion. Like how what the sign says fits with the motion theme, but I don't know if it should be square in the centre or in the photo at all...

This picture reminds me sooo much of O'Henry's short story "The Last Leaf", its incredible. From the subject, the painted-like background, to the title! You should find the story and read it! (unless you have a strong aversion to litterature) :) As a standalone picture, its strongly composed, no distracting elements, and the blurred blue-grey background sets a nice backdrop for the fall leaf. Cool!

Really,really, nice shot, composed well with no distractions. Subject dominates picture and in focus (the parts that need to be I suppose). And really does convey a feeling of motion. Only one suggestion - have you tried adjusting the image using levels or a similar editing tool to employ a full range of tones in your image? I tried it on the image and it really seems to bring out the colors. Cropping off the wood the bird is sitting on puts the bird a little more off center and strengthens the composition, but that's a little more personal and I think yours worked just fine. After challenge is over I'd love to show you what I tried and hear your opinion :)
