Well I didnt vote on this challenge, but I think the majot thing that you got hit for was lack of something of interest. the photo is good technically, nice and sharp, good lighting, and nice DOF and great diagonals. But there is nothing to hold attention and also some people might of thought DNMC if they didnt take more than a few seconds to look at it.

If I were to score it I would have given either a 6 to 7 based upon the technicals and the lighting.

The stream flow is nice, you have captures the currents well without veiling the water. The colors and tones are a bit dull and could possibly use a saturation boost in photoshop. But overall a nice photogenic stream nicely captured.
