Looks Like I Need To "Sharpen" My Pencils!

Looks Like I Need To "Sharpen" My Pencils!

Trying to leave some more in depth comments on random photos, so here goes...

I like the angle of this shot, and how the pencils are all lined up in the back, but vary in length to put some variety in the front. The diffused lighting also avoided what could have been some really harsh shadows under the tips of the pencils. It's even a clever title to go with the shot. Possible suggestions for improvement might be to shoot this from a bit more to the left so that it is more symmetrical and you can get the whole tip of that last pencil in. The words stand out on those two pencils too, so maybe rotating them so the words were hidden? Good luck in the challenge!

Took me a second to figure out why this one looked distorted! Love the vibrant colors you got here. Very creative!

What a patient little model you have here... a creative idea, and a cute little bunny for that extra bump of a point. If I had to find something to improve with this shot, it would be the little spots of fur that seem to be a bit overexposed. Nicely done!

A very unique combination of items in this shot, but it's colorful and nicely composed. :)

Love the soft motion of the water, but the shot feels a bit tilted to me.

Hmm, I think this one was scored too low... while I agree with other comments about the darkness, I actually liked the softness and the calm colors in the sky.

Hmm, I liked this one more than most voters I suppose, and I gave it an 8. I like the sweep of the second hand and the interesting background. It was a creative change from the water shots which dominated this challenge. I see this was your first challenge... good luck with future challenges! :)

Great shot... I had this one pegged as yours until I saw Rikki's, then I got confused! Love the colors in this one and the almost abstract feel with the movement in the foreground. Nicely done!
