This is also true, this was very thoughtful composition. It follows almost everything of a good composition. Keeping things simple, accentuate the subject matter. And say what we wish to say easily. The viewer does not have to put his/her mind and can enjoy the beauty and the message behind.

Wow, the composition is so good. If it were a painting, I would only demand a little bit of addition on it. Which would be bright shine of yellow color on shoes. But since this is a photograph, I am impressed you pulled it this much.

If you ask my honest opinion, I feel the crop makes it little bit boring. I think the crop could be little but better than this. Specially at the bottom there is lot of empty space.
But I think 5.3 does not mean that it is bad photo.
