Wow. A very dear friend of mine has started her treatment this month and I was thinkking about her when this challenge came up and now I see this image. Very powerful. Her eyes speak loudly. Technically the lighting is nice and the crop is very intimate.

Pretty. I realise the look you were going for but I'd prefer her face to be a little less blown out, as well was the flowers in her hair. Hard to do sometimes but with expert editing maybe you could have tried a standard exposure and lightening where need be leaving the details more intact?

Very beautiful and interesting. Not sure how well the editing will go over with the voters... for me it works fine because the original photograph is great and you just added to it artistically, as opposed to trying to carry a bad photograph with the editing.

Annnyhow. I think you edited this too much to where the blacks are all splotchy. I think some eye contact from the model would have improved this, esp since she is so cut off from the photo anyway with the composition.

Is this a reference to the play? Hmm... I never actually saw it so I wouldn't recognize the line.

This makes me pretty uncomforable which may have been the intention, or I am misreading her facial expression.

The editing is good as well as the contrast. The crop helps with the discomfort as it is unusual.
