How many mentos? Only 2? You could have gotten a really high surge. My friends used a whole role and it must have gone at least 12 feet high.

Cute concept. Were you going for the classis explosion in the face look? :) I think as fas as make up goes, could have been more splotchy to look more like powder and soot.

I also think the photo could use more contrast.

Cute concept. Would have had a lot more impact if you could see the baby more.

If you were to attempt this or something similar again, attempt to put one hand over the other and rest the baby's head on his hands or arm.

Oh and it would be cuter without the diaper too!

Should have positioned his stomach more flat against dad's arm because that position gives him a pot belly. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but is the baby a bit... "over exposed"? Something you gotta watch for...

And as has been said, the facial expression needs improvement.

Seems you took a lot of criticism. I suppose that is to be expected when you do a post that has been done because a lot of people have physically done this pose (I have) and so there is much more criticism.

Really adorable. I might have to say I think it's processed too much. Just because I'm partial to children looking more natural, that's what makes them so interesting.

Did you ask him to do that? It's cute but he seems a bit absent in the eyes, like he isn't really having fun.

I'd say with kids you gotta play with them, get them into it to where they are goofing around with you, and then try to capture them more naturally.

neat concept. Probably could have adjusted the colors a bit to get more of a pastel look.
