This is a good one. I want to cry just looking at the sadness in his eyes. This is what a photo is supposed to do in this challenge. Cause me to feel something and this one does. Technically everything is right on. Love the soft focus. May be a little dark but not enough to really hurt it. Just a thought. Good job. PTL 9

Heartbreak Station Blues

Old railroad station or old factory? Which ever, it's a good photo. I live the soft focus on this one. Adds to the "blue" feeling. Did you try angling more and getting more of the building on the left, even if you had to go past the heap. Just a thought. Just wondering if would add to the destituion look. I like the photo. It meets the challenge by emitting a blue feeling from the observer. Good job. PTL 8

Reaching the Fractals

Show you my stupidity right off the bat - I don't know what a "fractal" is, so I don't understand your title. But I do know what I like and I like this photo. Only thing is I wish you had pulled back and shifted a little to have gotten more of the tree in on the right side and maybe some of the trunk, even if you had to lay down on the ground to get it. What are the white things on the limbs? They are a little distracting. I love the clouds above the tree, adds to it. Good job. PTL 7

Agapanto

This flower looks lavender or purple. If I really stretch my imagination I might, I said might, be able to see blue. AND blue is my favorite color - all shades of blue. This is not a shade of blue I'm familiar with. As for the photo it is a really good photo - nice focus, nice composition, nice cropping, a couple of dead or dying ones on it on the right hand bottom side, but not too bad. Having trouble seeing it meet the challenge of blue. I'll compromise and give you a 6. PTL
