Selection for the desat seems a bit rough around the edges - seems to distract from the sharpness of the rest of the flower.

Nice colours. Might have been a prettier image if it was all colour, but I guess, then it wouldn't have qualified for this challenge...

Doesn't seem like any real reason for the selective desat. here. Might have been a more striking image in total greyscale.

Nice capture. And I liked the subdued nature of the coloured part. Doesn't make the bird seem unnatural.

Nice idea. Maybe a longer shutter speed causing the cars to blur would have suggested a busier and more hectic 'rat race' going on around you.

The title suggests playfulness, but the selective desat gives the photo a more creepy feel. The word 'carcass' comes to mind, because of all those dark greys and blacks. Not sure you captured exactly what you were looking for here.

Nice photo. I love the composition. But did you tweak the colour/saturation on that apple? I think it might have appealed more if you'd left the apple more naturally coloured.
