A Sexy Angelby albc28Comment: Greetings from the CC. I have read the thread you started on this post, and have looked at it several times before finally writing this critique in hopes that I could help you understand what might improve this image.
I am not fond of the pose, it doesn't flatter your pretty model. Her butt is flat from the pose, and the angle she is looking back just isn't appealing to me. The lighting is especially harsh on her, forget the shadows for a minute, the specular highlights on her nose and forehead are pretty harsh as well as her near shoulder. The shadow isn't near as soft as I'd light it to be and the angle the strobe is at led itself to that, get it up higher and fill with a reflector or another strobe at lower strength, not sure what you are using for modifier, but the light appears small, if it is, get it closer to the subject to give it a larger appearance. You have the model to work with, work on the smaller things and this is a much better photo. |

Thats Enough for Meby SeaStoneComment: Greetings from the Critique Club. I enjoyed my first impressions of your photo. I chuckled at the thought he was pushing himself/herself away from the table(not that any dog I have ever owned would ever do that without nearly bursting first).
Focus is good, the dark areas of the dog are a bit dark and lose detail on the subject, which isn't always a bad thing, but on this photo I think it hurts it. The biggest issue i see with this is the clutter in the background keeps taking my attention off the subject. Perhaps a quick burn down of the brighter subjects and lightening the subject with levels or curves brings this score north of 5. Good luck in future challenges. |

Dec 29 - Heart of silverby hajekaComment: I love the clean background with the nice exposure on what appears to be a very shiny reflective surface. Very good shot. |
