I was hanging out in your portfolio for a while trying to work out if I could pull off the same lighting. I think I got close, but am very pleased all the same since it was my first attempt the whole "glass-with-coloured-background" thing.

Wow, now this is an improvement from your other shots. And a Pentax in it no less! Very clear and sharp. Good tones. My only nitpicks are that the angle is uninteresting and you have some distracting glare coming off the negatives.

Blues are way to flat, dull. Maybe push the contrast or play with levels and curves adjustments in your editing software? Compression has also degraded the image somewhat. When saving your image for dpc challenges, file size can be up to a maximum of 150kb, try to take advantage of that.
