Pumpkin cheeksby jimsappComment: George Bush or Andy Griffith? Cute documentary shot that captures a moment, but beyond that doesn't hold a viewers interest. Good for the family photo album to remember a trip. |

On The Bridge To Ille St. Loiusby scarbrdComment: Grain in a b/w is not bad. I feel you've reduced the noise in this shot which changes the feel to me. The tone also has almost a purple hue to it... and contrasty black and white conversion that is more black than purple with a vignette around the edges might make the image have just a bit more impact for me. |

Chestnuts wizard by Rino63Comment: Apart from some oversharpening and maybe just a little too much at the top off the image, which draws my eyes away from the man, this is a nice shot. I like the monochromatic nature of the shot, and the interest in the mans face. |

killin' timeby laurie241Comment: composition is good, the subject is lacking in keeping my attention. It also looks like you may have done some noise ninja or neatimage on the shot. Perhaps keeping the noise with a high contrast b/w conversion would add more umph to the photo. |

~ Jammin' ~by pamelasueComment: Tone and capture of the man is good. I would like to see a crop that is less of the left and top of the frame. All the added distraction on those areas pulls my interest from the man with the headphones. |

The Stare of Curiosityby Shutter-For-HireComment: I can see what you were going for with the selective desaturation, but I don't feel it's necessary. Being that the kid clearly has a fix on the man with the keyboard I think the viewer would have picked up on that without the post processing as it is. Either color or black and white, but the mix doesn't work for me. |

That Girlby KelliComment: Average random shot with over post processing to try and make more out of a shot that doesn't have flow through the image or a subject matter that will hold the viewers interest (even though she's kind of cute) |

October 2008by e301Comment: What keeps this from being a 10 from me is that the man is tucked into the truck... had we seen him looking at the shot or walking to or from the truck he'd have added that last little bit of umph you'd need to push this into 10 catagory. Not sure why this image is on the wall but it's a great find with good post processing. |

Never know what you'll find at the auctionby bauerfan71Comment: The black and white conversion doesn't make this any more interesting than if it were in color. Looking through the challenge and comparing this to other street photography, this feels like it's just a snapshot you took during the week and submitted. I don't feel anything in this shot other than the subject looks kind of like Willy Nelson. |

The Streets of Toronto Ontarioby taylorpageComment: Seems I've been commenting most about this... crop crop crop. I'm feeling a lot of people are afraid to crop out distractions from their image. First thing my eye goes to in your shot is the top of the shot where the signs are. Do we need these in order to feel the emotion toward the guy at the bottom. The two elements compete and I barely notice him down in the shadow. |
