The Callby J-MeComment: What do you want this image to tell the viewer? How does this engage us or make us spend more than 2 seconds voting on it? Is there something here that you see or feel that you want me to know or is this a picture that technically meets the challenge so you entered it? Yes the woman behind him has some interest with her head down and I can wonder what she may be thinking, but overall the image falls short of being meaningful to me. |

She promised...by PrashComment: Taken while you walked past? Overall the image doesn't pull me in or relay a story. I see a man sitting on a bench and you walking past hoping to snap a pic without being seen. Engage the subject or change your position and it may have been a stronger shot. |

Jawsby BrianRComment: Not sure what the woman is doing, but the ship and kid in the background along with her standing in the mouth of the shark makes for a surreal image. This is interesting and the more one looks at it the more it feels like a painting that should be hanging in an art gallery. Wish her hand was down, but that's not within your control while shooting the shot. |

The Workerby BigKComment: This is probably an image that may have worked better in color. The muted b/w conversion as well as the centered subject and square crop leave the image a little lack luster. |

Wasted Youthby MAKComment: To the speed voter you'll prolly get a low or average vote, but if the person spends any time appreciating the textures, lighting, and shadows along with the crop and post processing, they'll realize that this is a very good image. I'm not usually a fan of centering the subject like you have, but with the environment they're in, it works well. |

Bad luckby ZigomarComment: Good capture and is very emotive. Only thing I would suggest is maybe boosting the contrast just a little. |

Grafitti Alley Rejectby VitaminBComment: While it may not have been, this image looks a little bit contrived and planned. That being said, the post processing is great. I like the b/w conversion. I do think your shutter speed may have been just a little slow as the person is just a bit too blurred. Also, the area to the right of the image does not add to it. A square crop, cropping out the right 1/4 of the image will bring the viewers eyes to the subject on the left. As it is now, I drift off to the right and don't return. |

Lonely Mondayby SandyPComment: Moving the browser size I cropped off the top of the image from above the white wall on the right, making it almost a square composition, and I find that it is a stronger image keeping the eye down to your subject matter. Don't be afraid to crop out things that pull the eye away from your main subject. |

Power Napby PatsfanComment: I'm sure I'm not the first to comment on this, but he looks dead, not napping. When dealing with this many textures and patterns a black and white conversion may improve the feel of the image. Your subject and composition has a hard time capturing the viewers attention and there is no overall movement in the image. My eye is stuck on the cane. |

Black and Whiteby BlackboxComment: What are you telling me with this photo? I see a leg out an open door. Not much else going on here. The composition is ok, but without a main subject the image doesn't hold the viewer's interest. |
