Crazy Funby MaryOComment: Two things jumped out at me when seeing this. 1. the "CRAZY" is cut off. 2. The cart's (or whatever it's called) face is chopped off, too.
But then I took a closer look - for one, the colors are extremely appealing in this photo, making it visually very interesting. Though it's busy, there are leading lines that keep it from looking cluttered.
Initially, I only saw people on a wild ride, but then upon closer inspection I saw the two girls who are taking a photo of themselves. Now that is really priceless and ups the photo's quality in my opinion.
I can see where you would have gone with this shot and not waited for another "cart" - or maybe you got a bunch of shots, I don't know. In any case, this is awesome - great capture. 8

The first time you receive a VCE comment, randomly choose five (5) images from this challenge (or another challenge) and leave quality, useful comments/critiques like this one. Make sure to mention good things as well as bad things. Then, see how many you receive in return over the next few weeks. Make sure you copy this VCE notice at the end of each comment. [Obligatory chain letter threat] If you do not make five quality comments within 24 hours, your hard drive will crash and your camera's shutter will fail at an inopportune moment. |

up close & personalby sigrun_thComment: What a flippin' riot! I think this may be my first 10. Let me ramble for a minute.
Though normally I'd say, animals and children do not make for candids, this has to be an exception. The unique expression on the kid's face is priceless. Additionally, your composition is really superb. The spray of dandelions couldn't be prettier. The crop is awesome and the background compliments the subject perfectly. The tones, colors and contrasts are very good, giving the photo depth and making it visually interesting. And, importantly, the processing sets this image apart from a snap shot. Everything in the photo has a purpose, which I also like.
I can't think of any improvements to be made. Not a big fan of frames, but this works ok. That said, I'm going to stick with my 10. Hope you get a good score.

Wet Walkby tomzComment: Fantastic photo - great perspective and good colors. The bottom part of the pavement is completely superfluous. Chop it off! :o) |

Happy Birthday to Eweby BradComment: What a riot - I didn't see this during the challenge, but caught it now in the 'farm animal' thread - and how appropriate there! Genius photo - radically underrated - by prudes, no doubt. |

Feeding the Ducksby StigerComment: I'm a bit tossed up about the blur around the edges. It's doing things with my eyes, even though the subject - the kid - is in focus. I like the black and white - well I usually do. The burned edges are cool and add atmosphere. The gesture you caught is cool and different, as well as the boy's facial expression. The tones are a bit soft. 6 |

Dragonfly Candidby annigComment: This is funny. From the thumb I thought - oh, come ON. But in large this is a riot. I hope you get a good score. The macro is excellent. 8 from me. |
