I like the contrast between sharp and sharpless - it's a feast for the eyes. Wonderful colors and perspective. It's like we're IN the wattle. Becoming ONE with the wattle.

I kind of like this. Too bad it got slammed so badly. It does fit the challenge - a burst of color indeed.

As an aside - and you probably know this - you don't need a model release for street photography unless you're going to use it to advertise for something or put it on the cover of a book. I find it annoying to think that some people voted you down on account of their misinformation.

This jumped out at me for obvious reasons. I think it's inspired, superb and very arty - especially for a nature shot, which makes it even more interesting and outstanding. It has a slight abstract feel to it and the colors are magnificent.

I read the comments and had to laugh - just because they are so DPC-esque. Too blurry? The insect is muted? And the colors are oversaturated? Puleeze - I hope you took none of that to heart.

This is so fresh and beautiful - absolutely stunning, as are your other floral photos. You definitely have to start submitting to challenges!

Download some freeware photo soft ware. The Gimp is good and there are others. They do in a limited fashion what Photoshop does.

The centered composition is really good, Rachel. And the yellow car adds a nice splash of color, making it sort of a happy junk shot - especially with the brilliant sky. Love it!
