Your subject is great for the challenge, and the photo is overall very good. Here are some of the problems with the image:
Edward Weston did not use shallow depth of field. When photographing vegetables, you'll notice that he used deep depth of field and had his entire subject in focus. This also adds some dimension, since - like you here - he used a tight frame on his creations.
In addition, the tones are a tiny bit flat. They could stand some deepening.
In conclusion - though your photo is technically good, it is not particularly suited to represent the style of Edward Weston.
