I think you'll get slaughtered for the too-processed feel. It doesn't look like a photograph, but rather like a painting. I like it as such, but for this challenge it might be better to go with something more realistic looking. If you want to send me your original photograph, I'd be happy to take a look at it.

This is a rough edit and I didn't resize. I'd crop it severely, convert it to duotone - or even BW. Take the brightness down quite a bit, up the contrast a little. Lighten the center of the main blossom.
