Yes?by RainMotorsportsComment: To me, a portrait has controlled lighting and setting. You need some lighting to bring out the eyes, and the background is too cluttered. |

Virgil in Loveby KnightmovesComment: To me, a portrait has controlled lighting and setting. This shot looks too green, there is no detail in the face of the dog, and I don't think the door makes a good background. This shot tells a story, but it is not a portrait IMO. |

Cat Heavenby hekxComment: To me, a portrait has controlled lighting and setting. The lighting seems too harsh and the highlights blown. The details of the face have been lost. The blanket with clouds doesn't add anything IMO, and the hot spot in the upper right corner is distracting. |

Protecting the Christmas Giftsby jmrspriteComment: The gifts make the background too busy for me. I think two or three gifts would have worked better and the title could still be used. There seems to be a blue cast to the lighting, and I would like sharper focus, especially on the eyes. |

Morning Yogaby hannkaComment: To me, a portrait has controlled lighting and setting. Sunshine can work as lighting if you wait for the right time of day. I would like to see more detail in the eyes. |

Oshieby PBearComment: To me, a portrait should have a solid background or should enhance the subject. The blue blanket, fence and grill do not add anything, IMO. |

Princess Paw Pawby pupparazzoComment: To me, a portrait has controlled lighting and setting. The light seems a little harsh, and too blue. The setting seems to be a cage, which seems kind of odd for a portrait. |

Digitby sirmallocComment: The biggest problem for me is the soft focus and not being able to see the eyes. The bit of red is a little distracting. |

Chappy IIby TerminatorComment: Chappy blends in too much with the background. Perhaps different lighting or selective desat would help. |
