This just shouts vintage postcard. Love the processing - the mood/feel has memories of a carnival long past; the the antique toy doll is what really cements that imagery.

Sunset 'breaks' through the jagged remains of the broken window. Nice combination of these two images.

She's Leaving Home

Just spotted the girl in the train window. Processing is very dreamlike adding to the illusion that perhaps time and 'memories' are speeding by. With the letter overlay and the muted tones it makes me think that this was an old WW II era photo. The train leaves with a loved one fleeing for safety from the war. Love how this tells a story.

Kari! Glad to see that you are taking some time to play - though I warn you it can be addicting as that you will start seeing patterns/textures to place on everything:-) Back to the composition. I like this one over the other one posted. I do like the aged look overlay on the Flag - it gives a visual added dimension to the words "Old Glory". The Pledge just adds another appealing touch to the aged look of your 'postcard' composition.

A simple and clean minimalistic presentation that is very eye catching. Love the faint impressions of the flowers in the composition. The soft whites of the main flower is paired nicely with the 'tuscan' wall pallete: rich warm golds and a dash of orange. Very nice.

This was one of my few 10's back in voting. Loved it then and love it now - beautiful soft pinks that have a soft whisper of movement. This is a beautiful abstract the engages both senses of touch and vision.

Excellent idea and wonderfully composed! I love how you skillfully convey the imagery of life lines that exist both in the leaf of the plant and that of the human hand. Wonderful symbolism of Life; Nature and all it's connections. Congrats on the Red!

The texture overlay really adds a 'antique' (wonder if antiquey is a real word) feel. It complements the subject perfectly.

O.K good to know I am not the only one who gets a 'Twilight Zone' imagery with this image. It has this eerie/surreal feel/mood to it. Good choice on the B&W too for color would have taken that feel/mood away.
