Burning Treeby cginoComment: The orange sky with the textures looks like it was done in quick impressionistic brush strokes. The tree and all it's vivid colors also calls to mind some impressionistic styles - more specific I think some of Van Gogh's work such as Mulberry Tree, Trees in the Asylum Garden or Road with Cypress and Star |

Mad Worldby odriewComment: The end lies on it's side - words angled and sliding down to the end. A woman has crossed a bridge and comes across the sign peering at it with a measure of curiosity. Has she truly come to the end? Are we seeing a moment in her past...or near future? Very dark and foreboding in processing of the weathered overlay and the darker/muted tones. |

Vicinity of Los Angelesby GermaineComment: Santa Barbara, then Ventura but don't know what the words are to the side that look like they end in "ivs" As a native Los Angeleno (born there) yes, Santa Barbara is in the vicinity north of Los Angeles and if you follow the coastline yes there are some beautiful beaches (at least if memory of the past matches with what it is today) Love the map overlay over the water for it calls to mind the lovely beaches of the coastline and the beaches of Santa Barbara as well. |

Thoughtful Boyby gsalComment: Love the candid moment caught of this boy lost in his thoughts. The overlay and presentation makes me think that this was a moment in time taken decades ago. The texture on the backdrop makes it look like stone thus my thoughts stray to this boy's thoughts being set in stone. |

Je t'aimeby KelliComment: Colors and composition of elements make for a 'romantic' image. Very nicely done - the filagree decor on the top right and bottom left corners complement the composition nicely. |

Riley turns 1by KelliComment: What a cutie! Happy belated Birthday Riley. Ah, they grow so fast - my father-in-law has always said from the day my kids were born "Enjoy the moments now for the next thing you know they will be walking down the aisle". To both Mom's: Enjoy all the smiles, hugs and laughter:-) This is a wonderful family montage keepsake. |

overlay10by DeniseComment: It does have a gritty but otherworldly feel. The reflection offers an alternate view of the substantial world. A watery/glass reflection of the solid and enduring (the stone cathedral) turned into something delicate that can be swept away with the kick of the foot or brush of the hand. |

Kittensby cginoComment: Reminds me of the phrase "How much for that kitten in the window (or was it puppy?) " that would appear in old literature when referring to getting a pet from the shop. After that first initial reaction the window overlay takes on the aspect of looking into a home where these cute little kittens find comfort and shelter. They peer back at us with curiosity as we look upon them and smile. |

Ghostsby GermaineComment: Followed the link and was a nice stroll in history. Now knowing that information it adds to the additional flavor to the composition. The Potter Hotel overlay exists now just as a ghost in the fog of time. People pass as shadows but they are much more visible in contrast to the ghostly overlay of what once was. Is it the people or the building that is a ghostly memory? This composition has a many layered story to tell. |

Day-10by salmiakkiComment: Love the filligree overlay! The texture and overlay turns this travel photo into a piece of postcard nostalgia/art. |
