overlookby philupComment: Wonderful woodsy scene - love the B&W that brings out the shapes and lines of the trees and the clouds. Very lovely. |

Two Friendsby gsalComment: It is amazing how even in a downtrodden, economic depressed area one can still see the sunshine in a child's smile. Love the radiant smile on that little boy face. Love the processing too for it makes me think I am in the backseat of some old taxi or beat-up tour bus looking through a yellowed and dirty window. The vehicle has come to a stop and I am rewarded with a smile from these two boys that I cannot help but smile back. |

Mixed Nutsby GermaineComment: Beautiful tones and colors in this still life. Love the 'frame' that outlines the composition for I think of this as an art painting that appear on serving trays; the ones that you hang as art on the walls or prop up as art to show on a shelf. Very lovely. |

day13 bby salmiakkiComment: There is an added charm to old towns and buildings when the photograph showcasing them appears old and weathered: we think of the 'old world charm' of a time that is long gone but only exists captured in the pages of a book or old photograph. This composition captures that look, feel, and charm. |

Day-11by salmiakkiComment: Love the B&W scrapbook overlay look and feel to this photograph. It really calls attention to all the main elements of the photo much more than the color version. When I opened the larger version I instantly thought of the song in Mary Poppins about the lady on the steps of the cathederal: "Feed the birds - tuppins a bag". |

Day-12by salmiakkiComment: That is absolutely stunning! I love how the overlay really calls up the fog and hush of the woods. The overlay and the B&W tones really emphasize the feel of the serene hush and beauty of the woods in the early morning hours. It is magical and breathlessly beautiful now! This just makes me want to re-read the Forest Lover by Vreeland for I imagine this is exactly the moments that the artist Emily Carr got to see when she was exploring the Pacific Northwest.
**O.K. now I am going to have to try this on an old image of a foggy day I managed to capture at a local park but was never happy with.

Lock 841by carofoComment: The overlay rivets add to the feel of being imprisioned or 'locked away'. The chair awaits empty perhaps for the next prisioner...very darky and moody. |

Spring birdby carofoComment: Wow, yes you are right the overlay turning the backdrop to blue is the perfect compliment to the bird. The bird now invokes the imagery of the sun in a blue sky. Love the framing of the barren branches that act as a natural frame within the window/white frame border. |
