If this is where I think it is than that lake truly is that turquoise shade of blue. Beautiful scene and great colors. A good shot but I think the composition could be stronger if you were able to compose the shot without the distracting foreground elements of the tree and jutting stone at the bottom half. The tree top and stone interrupts/detracts the vast open blue of the lake. A vast blue lake would complement the vast blue sky.

What a beautiful view that invites me to sit down, take a seat and have a glass of wine:-) Lovely colors and inviting scenery you have captured. It is inviting but I feel the composition could be stronger. First off I think that the horizontal presentation doesn't play up the strengths of the lines and shapes in the scene. A vertical composition would compliment the vertical shape of the tiffiany glass windows and the open door view. Not only that but you would capture more of the full length of the chair that would further be an invitation to the viewer to have a seat.

Wishing Well

The colors and the hue really project the mood of mystery and magic. Love how you composed the shot to include the radiating path that encircles the wishing well. The way it is lit, the vibrant hue, and the shape/lines invokes the idea that great magical energy is radiating out from the wishing well. I do have one critique: the drawback of catching the wishing well at this point of composition is that the top half of the well gets lost in the trees and houses that are in the backdrop. I think the contrast and visibility would have been far better had you walked a little to your left so that the top portion of the well would be more visible rising out of the inverted 'v' shape where the house roofs meet.

Nice portrait of this young woman. Great lighting that allows her to shine - love the highlights in the hair and the beautiful blue eyes. Colors are vibrant and cheery from the red hair to the springtime green shirt to the sky blue of the building.

The composition proves that a photo does not have to be tack sharp to effectively capture a mood or feel (7). The colors and the blur give me the sense of nostalgia. Remembering the carefree childhood days where running in the fields, jumping and playing was all that mattered. Her leap into the air holding the balloons project the sense of wonder and delight; perhaps there is the imagination of the ability to take flight. Now I do have two small critiques: I wish that there was a great separation of the girl from the fields because in some areas the skin tones blend with that of the fields (she would have visually popped more off of the sky). A lower angle of shooting would have accomplished that. Second is that I wish her leap was not captured so close to the stream for some creates a line that cuts into your subject. Hmmm, you know, it would I think it would have been a great leading line if you had the luck of capturing her leap where she was at the top end of the streamline. Then it would have acted as a leading line/path that lead the eye directly to her whereas here it cuts through her.

Lovely portrait that captures the sense of motion with the fluid motion of her hair fanning out and framing her face. Great details and lovely catch lights reflected in her eyes. Lighting is excellent, very well done portrait of this beautiful lady.

Great capture of these predators: one resting and one in flight with the day's catch in claw. Details are fabulous. Only one small critique is that it is a shame the full wingspan is not in the composition. However given the rarity of the scene it is understandable that when you have the opportunity, just take the shot to capture the moment. And that you did fabulously.

Heading home after a long dusty day is the mood that I get upon seeing this photo. Gorgeous colors with the warm orange, yellow and red hues that the silhouettes of the horses and tree visually pops off of.

Now that is a way to work force perspective! The capture really gives off the illusion that the huge cruise ship is not far from the ridge line of the crashing wave. The proximity to the crashing wave projects the idea of rough sailing ahead...mayhap crashing on shore. Great details and lovely colors in this shot.

Normally I don't care for nudes, but this one is very well done in terms of the play of light on your subject. It brings to mind that of baroque painters. The play of light and shadow is fabulous as it adorns your model. Her pose is of classic contemplation/seeking illumination that allows the light to show off the beauty of the human form; of it's lines and curves. Excellent work and top notch (9).
