JUst a few observations: Looks more like a guy than a mother though its hard to tell. The idea is exceptional, the earthy looking skin really pulls this togeter. The detail on the leaf and the color are very good. The only thing I didnt like was the tear, it looks cut out and pasted on the leaf, kind of ruins the effect of the leaf, big glaring white spot on it. I like the idea of the tear, just not that one. I gave it a 10, well done.
