Really like the composition, a little more of their face might have been better but not a big deal. Or crop more on the right and top to make the more hilighted on the focus. I enjoyed the sun shining through the hair, gave it a sleepy glowy sunny feel. The focus looks to be on the back of the center one and makes the one on the left more noticibly out of focus. The crop I mentioned above might lessen this look.

The outake is crisp only on the little on behind his mother. If it was a picture of mostly just the little one that would be fine but the mother is such a big part of the pic, she should be more in focus.

Such beautiful colors and lighting! Your focus seems to be spot on and the background is nicely blured and not distracting from that glorious bird (with the exception of the bright branch on the right, maybe clone it out or make it not so glaring, it doesnt fit with the darker theme of the rest of the background, it pulls my eye a bit too). Nice crop, the bird seems to be in the perfect position. Just a tad more detail in the bottom breast feathers, the inside line of the beak, and if you can find and bring out a bit of the eye would make this outstanding picture even better. What great colors, the red is incredible!

very very nice! A little more sharpness on the mtn but probably impossible to do for Basic. Crisper waves too. Very good colors though.
