I'm thinking a little much noise removal might have been used, especially when I looked at the larger size it seemed so. make sure you're not deleting essential detail just to get rid of some grain.

I could be completely off-base here.

Could wish for some mountainst down there, the top seems a bit empty, though the moon adds a bit, I think 640 doesn't ever do 2:1 landscapes very well at all. this might look completely different at 1024 or better 1280 wide. I just can't see enough detail at this size.

Hola! fom the Critique Club.

Hey, don't know what you were going for, but this is pretty good for an outtake.

I like the lighting, and the expression is good. Nice catchlights on the eyes. Maybe a bit too much neat image though?? It's hard to tell.

The only thing I can really criticize is that there is no connection or excitement here for the viewer.

Rock On!

Hola! from the Critique Club.

I have to agree that the DOF here was just too short for a portrait. f/11 is usally my minimum, f/6-8 will do. Only just a bit more needed actually, just the lips sharp and let it fall off back toward the ears and neck.

I like the pose, but maybe just a bit more rotation on the shoulders so it doesn't look like you(?) are hunching over into the frame.

I like the choice of background and the eyes are nice and sharp, with great catchlighting. (personal note, plucking your eyebrows to make them fully separated into two distinct entities does not make you a metrosexual, just a thought.)

Hola! Greetings from the Critique Club.

You know, this may have been a bit too much on the emotive side for this challenge. I seems that the statement pics in this challenge didn't really fare too well.

I understand the way you processed it was for a purpose, but I just flat don't like it. Might be harsh, but I'd rather let you know how I really feel about it. The negative space did work well.

I think having a more sad face, and having the subject looking at the viewer with those sad eyes would have done this good.
