Idle ducksby 3amfromkyotoComment: This is a nice action shot, a little space in front of the swan would have improved the composition so it didn't appear to be leaving the frame. The whole image seems to have a green colour cast and be a little over exposed. I still like the image though, sometimes breaking the rules can work. |

The Vines That Tieby Sherri1209Comment: I like the diagonal composition, but the image lacks punch. Contrast and colour are a little lacking in the main subject drawing the eye to the green of the leaves. Focus could have been a little sharper. |

Palm Readers Delightby dragorComment: The image begs us to concentrate on the lines and details of the hands, but unfortunately they are not in sharp enough focus for us to do so. It's a good composition, other than the slight distraction in the top right corner and I like the use of black and white. Great effort. |

Branchesby mattmungerComment: Focus and DOF are excellent but there are just too many distractions. A closer crop on the trees or branches to lose the steps and people would have helped I think. |

Choicesby fiveriversComment: Focus appears to be right on the birds eye, which is perfect. I feel that a closer crop or shallower DOF would have helped though as the whole image is too busy. |

Blue Angels (Branch of US Navy)by Nikolai1024Comment: This is a really great action shot of a difficult target. I would have liked to see more empty space ahead of the planes so they don't appear to be leaving the frame. It's a REAL stretch of the "branch" breif though =P |

Big Branchby thorgilsComment: Great focus and bark texture, the lighting on the subject works well. A little too much of the background is visible though and draws the eye away into the image. Shallower DOF would have helped a lot |
