wk11.jpgby salmiakkiComment: This is an interesting building and the detail makes me want to spend some time looking around. I especially like those signs. Add me to the more contrast group, at least for the top half of the shot. |

Wind Chill Factorby xianartComment: I'm not too fond of the grain, but this is a real standout for me. One of my favorites of the challenge.
Came back to bump, this is indeed my favorite. I hope to see this on the front page. |

coal mineby charliebakerComment: Since I feel compelled to leave a comment for scoring low, here it is. I hope you enjoy your low score and maybe even a brown ribbon. |

culture clashby grigrigirlComment: I don't really see the harsh environment here, although I do like the "culture clash". |

three amigosby AliciaComment: This is really fascinating; it's like the amigos (especially center) are almost 3D. Breaking the rule of thirds works and the 3 verticals are offset nicely by the curve in the hill. I'm not sure if it's a contrast thing or sharpening, but white "specs", especially on hill, stand out quite a bit. Good choice for the action. |

Week 9: In the Doorwayby jasonlpriceComment: I prefer this version over the other. It's more intimate and mysterious. In this version I get the sense that she just walked into this doorway and is hesitant to continue. There's a big open space on the right - what lurks there? Only a child's mind knows. |
