beach 5by irishempressComment: I like the playfullness of the boy in this one. Also he really pops out as the subject with those muted tones of the surroundings. Don't care for how the horizon cuts through his head though. |

Capitol at Sunsetby RebeccaComment: I like the photo with the wider angle better, but the light(wow!) is oh so much better in this photo. |

Capitol from Colfaxby RebeccaComment: Nice original angle on the Capitol building, Becky. The photo has a little bit of a cool vintage/nostalgic feel to it, especially in the preview thumb where you don't recognize the modern cars. The warm light on the north face of the rotunda is very cool. The inclusion of the traffic signal doesn't do much for this particular photo though. |

A Walk In The Parkby astropilotComment: Good use of perspective in this photo, very strong converging lines. Taking this either later or earlier in the day would of given you much more interesting light with more pleasing contrast and much better detail. Depending on the direction of the sun it probably also help with the hard shadows on the left side. |

Old bridge new bridgeby RUEDISCHMUTZComment: I like your composition looking through those two bridges. Very pleasing shade of green on that tree next to the older bridge. Not a fan of the overexposed sky that has creeped into the photo in that upper corner. |

Summer Meanderby AlexSaberiComment: An interesting scene all those tied up boats(no large rivers in my neck of the woods), they add lots of color and interest to your photo. They are composed very well to balance your photo. Too bad the sky wasn't more cooperative that day, but at least you minimalized its blah effect very well. |

California Lifestyleby rkligmanComment: Great color in this sunset photograph and the silohuetted surfer adds nice interest. One nitpick is how that nearest wave prematurely crops the photograph. |

looking upby smilebig4me1xComment: An interesting angle and good composition. The photo seems a bit on the busy side, a shallower DOF to blur all those background branches would help make the subject stand out more. |

Peering Through Timeby ericwooComment: Good use of perspective, the line converge to the exit at the other end. I like the off centered composition, but I think you went a little too far to the right with the exit end. If you kept that opening a tiny bit back to the left you would be able to see more of the criss-cross detail on the right side of the bridge also. That's all pretty much just opinion about the composition, but less opinion is that support on the right edge, it's just sort of sticking into photo like a sore thumb. Good exposure in a tough to expose situation, you captured lots of detail up in those rafters. |

Swimming With The Beaverby Demento_1974Comment: I like the composition of this, you've got the subject fairly well off center. I also like the point of view of looking at him from his level. I tend to agree with you that this meets the challenge, but expect some DNMC votes from voters that are looking for diverging and converging lines for this challenge. I got a lot of those kind of votes in the last perspective challenge. The exposure seems to be spot on for the background, but with the beaver being the subject maybe a stop or two of extra exposure compensation would help emphasize the beaver and bring out more of his detail. |
