DAY 23. edited. turpentine trunks .by rozComment: I've often tried similar types of photos with little or no success. I think what works for this, aside from the great light, is that you composed in such a way that the pattern of trees is pulling you into the photo. Very, very nice! |

Schloss Stolzenfels friedhofby MelethiaComment: You probably already know this...Germans take great pride in the upkeep of plots of family members, and it can be quite disgraceful if they look poorly tended. Also of interest is the fact that most plots are short term leases, if your lease isn't renewed by family you're out of there.
The markers are quite different than the ones I've seen. Koblenz is not so far from the area I use to visit(I'm assuming this is the Koblenz kind of west of Frankfurt), you would think that they would be very similar.
I bet within a few feet a where you took this photo, there is a well or spicket and a rack full of watering cans. Keep those Germany pics coming I'm loving all those flashbacks and memories that you keep stirring up. Message edited by author 2007-04-03 15:22:10. |

Sarasotaby CutterComment: That lone bird in that massive sky gives me a tremendous sense of freedom despite all the makings of man. Look at that horizon under the bridge, the condos seem to go on forever.
This almost makes me feel as I'm flying myself...almost! |

Msaka Boyby gsalComment: LOL...okay...do I or don't I ask about the hand in the pants? I'm probably going down the wrong path but it seems to be the humour you'd expect more of a teenager, but that sure seems like a shit-eating grin to me. |
