You're capture of light and shadow is absolutely awesome here. The people seem like cattle herded through the stockyards, but then when you see their shadows they're a unified group. A unified group that appears to be having some kind of spiritual meeting.

Very interesting photo with the extremely heavy shadows. Its almost like a puzzle, you're giving us the bits of info you want us to have, and we have try and figure out the rest of the story on our own. Oh...and it just plain looks cool!

Weird...prior to this post I had no idea who Edward Hopper was. But between this post and your photo, Hopper's "Nighthawks" painting was the very first thing that came to my mind. Thanks to Deb, Andrew and Google I'm now a little bit more educated.

Hmmm...is the train rolling in? Seeing how they all seem to be looking at something really gets me curious. Kind of like the old trick of staring up at the sky and then watching strangers trying to figure out what you're looking at. Never been to Cologne, is this one of the old style stations where the trains have to back out?
