Orange Contrast

Now this would have worked well in the greeting card challenge also. I like the use of negative space and the hairline orange border. The "ground up" effect isn't as obvious as other entries, but overall a nice photo.

Very nice "Ground Up" entry. The black and white works really well in my opinion. some might comment about the brighter white areas, but I like those balanced against the tree. The black border keeps it all nicely framed too.

Interesting entry for the "Ground Up" challenge. Doesn't have quite the same impact as the others do, but the reflection in the sunglasses is cool.

Not as dramatic from the ground up as others, but a very pretty landscape. For me, I wish the horizon was either a bit higher or lower and not so centered. I like the pink hue of the sky reflected in the water.

Up from the Ground

This is kind of the opposite type of shot from how I interpreted the challenge. To me this is more like the view from above looking down. I wonder how this would look at a different time of the day with maybe the sun illuminating down into the valley itself? I'd like to see a bit stronger saturation of color as it looks like a beautiful spot.
