Senior, but still reaching for the skyby viljoendaleComment: If someone were to show me this photo and ask me to guess the topic, it would take a while for me to say "from the ground up". I like the composition and the colors are good, but for me it doesn't fit the challenge as well as other entries. |

The Two Towersby jrhayComment: What an interesting tree. The colors are maybe just a tad too dark for me, and it seems a bit out of focus (then again, could be my glasses need cleaning) :-) |

Flying Freeby BudComment: Very nice and powerful shot. Great sky and the silhoutted rider looks terrific. Being nit picky - I would say to clone out that one "stick" near the tire on the lower left side. Otherwise, well done and good luck in the challenge. |

from underground up to the 8th floorby sparkplugComment: For me, the subject matter doesn't hold my interest as other entries in the challenge. I wonder what an even lower or steeper angle would look like? The area around the label text looks a bit pixelated on my screen, but I like the lighiting. |

Late evening sunby RussComment: I like the lighting on the tree trunks and the low angle is nice. The one thing that distracts me is the branch in the upper right. it appears to be floating to me since there isn't any kind of connecting branch or trunk to be seen. |

Winding Upby ajmason66Comment: For me, I find that when the main subject is off centered there is more interest. It can lead the viewer's eyes into and up in a photo. When subjects are smack dab in the middle, my eyes don't tend to look anywhere else. |

Summer is Overby p3wizComment: How like the angle and the colors of the arches. The overcast sky gives me a sense that summer is indeed over and fall aproaches. |

Mountain Bikerby drake217Comment: When I look at your photo, my eyes stay focused on the pince cones and I have to "force" my eyes to move about the rest of your photo. Also, I find that if the main focused subject area is off-centered it can draw the viewer deeper into the picture itself. |

Gotta Start Somewhereby jurassicComment: For me, the overwhelming white areas in the sky are distracting. I like the small in focus area of the new leaf growth. |

Roman columnsby pmottaComment: The lack of sky seems very...odd to me, like it's been washed out (and you may have chosen to do this on purpose - I don't know) :-) My favorite part is how you used part of the structure as a frame at the top of the photo. |
