Sarah's Angelby TheresaAComment: For me, I wonder if this would be stronger as a black and white photo. Also, image grain kind of gives photos a gritty, moody kind of look whereas your subject is smiling. |

hoary sprayby undieyatchComment: Interesting photo. I've been looking at it for a moment and trying to decide if Neat Image was used - and can't decide. Bumping up one point after second look. |

Target Destroyed, Returning to Baseby FirstyComment: Taking a second look, I'm bumping it up a point. I wish it was a bit lighter/brighter overall (seems a bit dark for me), but your color choice gives it an older feel. |

Preening Pelicanby KitKatComment: Nice black and white of a pelican, but compared with other entries and lack of grain I have given it a lower score. |

rusted lock, sodden groundby wavelengthComment: I like the angle and the colors and lighting are good too. For me though, I do wonder if Neat Image was used. It seems to have a softer focus whereas in this challenge I'm scoring based on image grain. While yes, there is some grain in your shot, (again for me) the soft glow takes away from that. |

Projectile Whiteby StrikeslipComment: Well, you win the disgusting factor...nice...real nice. I haven't been here on DPC long, but when I saw this, one member's name popped instantly into my head, and I wonder if I'm right... |

Medieval Stonesby RiponladyComment: Looks like a very nice church. I like your composition, although the branch in the upper left just kind of seems to be floating there. I wonder how it would look without the branch or even more of it to help actually frame that corner more? |

Sugar Millby PhotoRynoComment: Had there been a bit more contrast I would have scored this higher. As is, it seems kind of flat to me...or maybe if there was more sky or more foreground so that the mill itself wasn't in the "dead" center of the horizon. |

Grainby barndogComment: :-) I like how you combined grain and image grain...covered all the basis from when the challenge was first announed - clever. 8 |

Newport Castleby postoakinversionComment: Interesting place - your treatment gives it a spooky feel. Some of the lighter areas seem almost a bit too processed, but it looks like a very old photo - good grain image. 8 |
