I like the pose and the focus. However I think the color and tone could be improved here. I went ahead and played with this a bit using the basic editing and here is what I came up with (see below). This may not be the direction you were going but perhaps it'll help in some way. Anyway, I hope you don't mind me doing this. I do like your photo in general.

I think what I would have done here is shot those sneakers (in the way you laid them) on a basketball court or sidewalk pavement. The carpeting just seems out of place for these sneakers and it doesn't add anything to the shot, IMO.

I like the mood here. Soft yet sharp enough at the same time. The only negative I have is the green leaves make the photo a little busy at the bottom. I much rather see just the stem and the two hands.

I don't like the lighting and the contrast could use some boosting as well. Also might do better if red was more saturated in this photo. Composition wise it's interesting. You managed to get a lot in here without it looking too busy.
