Moving Rock by rd_325Comment: Two photos like this in the challenge? I would never have figured. Hopefully you and the other person with the same subject don't split the vote on this (so to speak).
As for the photo, I really like the contrast, perspective and detail. The transition from foreground to background is very smooth. You get a good sense of scale. The lines the rock created does a great job in carrying your eyes throughout the photo.
The only negative I have is I'm not in love with the color selection for the duotone. I think this would look better in b/w but I can certainly see why you didn't go that route for this challenge. |

Owls Head Lighthouseby LN13Comment: I like the POV. The gradient in the sky, the hill, the stairs, everything leads you to the lighthouse. |

Something old, something newby esmaice87Comment: Creative duotone. The highlights are a bit of an issue for me. I like the lighting on the new rose however it produced a distracting hot strip in the background. Maybe diffuse the natural light just a bit so that the background color in that area isn't lost. |

The pipeby AngelisComment: Very interesting. It's got a cinematography look to it with the framing and DOF. |

Back in black.by RisingSunComment: I would have loved to see two tiny glasses reflecting the background on each hand to further the pun in this photo. |

Castle in Brown and Blackby bvoiComment: The processing is fairly noticable. However, the castle itself is pleasing so the soft halos that are seen do not detract in general. The sky however isn't as pleasing, IMO. It's very harsh and it doesn't compliment the castle very well which has softer tones to it. I do like how there is a break in the clouds so the background isn't all white.
In regards to the rest, the duotone looks good. I also like the composition and you've managed to produce a lot of detail in the shadows despite the harsh light. Good photo. |

Winter Calmby sgauriaComment: Looks like a duotone image. Composition is good. The water is pleasing but it has a bit of that neatimage look but maybe that's how it actually looked. Not sure. Regardless, this looks very good. |

The Capitolby bamboy755Comment: Nice detail. The contrast works. The tonal ranges looks like its evenly distributed in the light and dark areas. Overall, very good. |
