In the Treetopsby SJCarterComment: I like the crop but I probably would crop it tighter at the top like say near where the top of the tree is on the right. I just think that would give him more presence and feel taller. Btw, love the look! |

Libertyby mbmcnabbComment: Nice take to the challenge however the image needs some post editing work, IMO. The two problems for me is the low contrast and the low saturation. To fix this in photoshop I would use a Curves adjustment (click "options" and then "enhance per channel contrast" and then ok). Then I would use unsharp mask to boost the local contrast (i.e. settings similar to this: Amount=16, Radius=25, Threshold=1). This would make the image pop more both in color and contrast. This still won't get the white on the eagle's head whiter like it should so maybe also use Replace Color, which is under "Images/Adjustments" menu and use the eyedropper tool on the eagles head and then bump up the "Lightness" slider a bit to make it brighter. If you choose the right spot you will miminize brightening the white in the background.
Anyway, just some suggestions on improving this particular shot. If you were to reshoot I would suggest getting much lower and shooting up a bit so that you only got the blue background with the stars. That way you would avoid the bright white stripe which is a bit of a distraction, IMO. |

Yantiby kloutitComment: Awesome composition. The bokeh is good and complementary. The only thing I don't like is the background colors. That green especially seems out of place. |

One hell of a rideby edmengComment: Well it took me a moment to realize the background blur wasn't what you were trying to show as motion but rather the front wheel in motion. Doh! This is such a strange photo that I have to give this a 7! |

Take Offby pawdrixComment: Nice motion here however I'm more drawn towards the nicely rendered road. I think you need to go back there and reshoot without a car in the shot. Might make for a nice abstract image with those light and dark tones. |

Impression of a Windy Dayby obsidianComment: This has an almost impressionistic feel to it. I also like how you cropped this, which enhances the the different elements present. What I might suggest is boosting the contrast just a bit. A slight s-curve in photoshop should do the trick. |

Lets Play Judoby judojoeComment: Nice depiction of motion and the facial expression is classic. The technical quality however is a bit lacking. Also, I might think about taking this shot from a lower angle so you could capture more of the floor and less of the drabby background curtain. |
