Funny how we all like different things. I like the look he achieved with this shutter speed and processing but the color is a bit too out there. A super image nonetheless. Congrats! |

Great Lake Shoresby IvoryComment: I can't seem to put into words why I like this other than this is a very nice shot of nature in the abstract. There's also a sense of dignity present, which perhaps is what I like here. Anyway, gets a fav from me. |

Me in makeupby unnevaComment: The angle is a little strange. It makes your chin look much too big, IMO. However, everything else looks great. I like the makeup and the dark shadows complimented it well. |

Daphneby EduardComment: Great work. I agree with slickchik about the necklace. I think if it didn't bunch up it would be fine although it would still be taking away a lot of attention from the subject. Also, I'm not crazy about the strands of hair. It's fine at the top and left but on the right its too much. Message edited by author 2006-11-05 22:30:59. |

You got nailed, probably, by the literals who think if:
a) you can tell what the out of focus stuff is or
b) there aren't little circles or
c) you didn't meet their own private little definition
then there is no bokeh. |
I missed this photo in the challenge but had I voted on it I probably would have given it a 6 just because it's different but overall it has little appeal to me. The sense of movement is interesting but it doesn't go well with the stationary subject who to me seems a bit disinterested.
Anyway, just my opinion.
P.S. Sorry Scalvert, I'm just looking around trying out my harsher critiques. :) |
