Like what Bec said the shot is good and the blur isn't quite right. I see what you were getting at with the still from the movie but it's hard to get a good OOF when you have high contrast and the gun with the white background has too much contrast so the blur still has edges to it. In the movie still you linked to the blur of the gun blends in more with the background because it's similar in color which makes it not hard on the eyes. Another thing holding this back (which isn't your fault) is you have a look that doesn't project James Bond. When I saw this shot the first thing that popped into my head was the movie Reservoir Dogs. Maybe a better background would have helped change that perception.
