Prelude to Cheesecakeby Rae-AnnComment: Geez, you gave me such a nice complement, I thought I'd pay you a little attention. Light on White was a disaster for me, so what do I know right? Now that I know you are a chef, I like the selection. There was a lot of "the mundane" in this challenge. This is a good example. The composition is nice, although it may be a bit too centered. I think the picture does suffer from "noise". I'm not sure what it came from, but there is a fair amount of pixelation in the shadows and on the eggs. I just looked down at the other comments and see I'm not telling you anything new. In the end, it was a good picture for the right audience. |

Foggy Sunriseby whatdewucComment: Dang. A beautiful picture marred by poor compression or pixellation (hopefully it's that and not spot editing). I'll still give it a 6. |

Chesakeape Bay Bridgeby LokiComment: :( The bridge is totally marred by the overlapped railroad bridge. It brings back nice memories though as I spent 4 years in Virginia Beach. The long exposure is nice on the water though. I love that look. |

Quite Spiritsby bruskiComment: Dang, did you mean "Quiet Spirits"? I'm not gonna knock you, but it's too bad. :) The pic is nice though. Good use of two subjects. 7 |

The Stormby mpembertonComment: Wow. I'm gonna sit here for 30 seconds and figure how this is done with basic editing. OK, it's was more than 30 seconds. I'm going to give you a 9 but I'm gonna ask for validation (sorry). I just can't see how this was done without selection. Hmmm...coming back. perhaps a gradient yellow filter on the lens to remove blue and then desaturate yellows? I hope this gets validated because I'm very intrigued about the effect and will be first in line to find out how it was done. |
