The Snagby SkipComment: Nice temporal progression. The lighting is a bit harsh I think, but maybe I'm just used to seeing sports in domed arenas. 7 |

Natures Gloryby trobergeComment: Beautiful. I think the triptych adds a dimension here even though it's "one shot". 7 |

Cincinnati at Duskby jpetersComment: I just voted another cityscape last picture. You did creative things with the panelling and I think that somewhat overcomes the weakness of having the outer panels unable to quite stand on their own. Nice blue in the sky. 7 |

Tricityby drz01Comment: Nice cityscape, but the triptych quality suffers because the outer panels don't really stand on their own. 6

Blue Backyardby gsalComment: Interesting. It looks like it should be the same door, but they are different. The clothesline does a nice job of joining the 3. 7 |

What's on your dresser?by lwkimagesComment: The subject of the center panel is OOF. That's too bad. Especially since it's the center panel. The other two are nicely done. |

R G Bby cools98Comment: whew, when you try to reshoot a shot already done (EddyG) and a difficult one at that, it's hard not to compare. I think you know already this did not match (no pun) up. On it's own merit, the smoke is fairly well captured. The blue going off to the left is the weakest, the red is the strongest. |

Rays of November Sunby MQuinnComment: I think this may be another candidate for B&W. There are two large swaths of single colors, the brown/yellow of the field and the pale blue of the sky. Neither is particularly eye-grabbing in hue. So you can either "cheat" and really try to boost it with saturation, or switch to B&W where texture becomes more important. The field might have promise as texture and the clouds probably would too with the sunbeams.
Your "penny sized" aperture was too big. ;) There is a loss of detail in the foreground which would have added to the texture of the field.
This isn't your fault, but I've also noticed November trees are hard to make look good. The deciduous trees have lost their leaves and evergreens are very, very hard to keep from turning into a green/black mess. I haven't solved this nut yet myself...
I gave it a 5. |

Cold Mountainby StructorComment: Congrats Structor! This is a great capture. I like that this site is global enough that the 3 ribbons came from Romania, Iceland, and Oregon. |
