You think we read literature? I'm not sure I dig the background. The raven is well captured though although perhaps a tiny bit oversharp.

couldn't find any 4-leafers, eh? You managed to catch some nice refraction in the diamond.

Well, I know you can do good stuff, so I'll be brief. It's all the cyan. Just kidding. It actually looks nice in this case. My biggest issue is the streamers. Why? What are they adding? Are we having a party? The glass piece also doesn't necessarily give the best refraction. I like portions (the bottleneck is neat), but I don't like other parts (the majority of black at the bulb and the blurred ring closer to the bottom). Bottom line is the whole picture doesn't give us any sense of purpose. Rikki's shots have a purpose of seeing some great refraction, but this one falls short on that count.

Very nicely done that it looks like something (a heart). Could be love in your future. I sorta wish there was a great deal more DOF. I don't like the blurry side of the cup. A tip, if you are just doing the shot for DPC is to take advantage of the 640 px size. You can hold the camera quite a bit back and then crop later. This gives your camera much more apparent DOF with the same aperture.

Of course not knowing who this is, I may be talking to a ribbon winner, in which case, forget I said anything. ;) 7

Somewhat overexposed. Worst on the in focus petals on the right side. Very nice composition though. 6

looks overexposed. I'm not quite sure what's up with the eraser. That ditzel on your fingers is distracting too. Cute idea.

I'm sure others are going to say it. Look up the tutorial for resizing shots. Small shots like this always get a low score, so don't let the score get you down on this one. The lighting is harsh on this one and the applicability to the challenge is quite subtle. The separation of church and state is a myth?

Gonna have to look this one up. The tones are quite cool and I'm not a fan of that.
