I'm am not familiar with this novel and to be honest, I could not find any book with this title on google so I will consider this to be not fully meeting the challenge. The image itself doesn't do a lot for me and the tilted horizon is distracting. However, I do like the softness and colour of the sky and the overall composition is nice. 3

Not having read this book I did a quick Google search and found a few images representing this novel. You have captured the general composition here too so there should be little risk of DNMC voting. I'm not sure how much control you had over the background but I wish the nice blues extended beyond the right hand side of the image. The details captured are very good and I quite like his expression. 6.

A nice enough picture of a horse. There does appear to be some strange artefacts around the horse's chin and body (perhaps from masking). I don't know if you added the forehead marking or it was found like that but it is a nice connection to the books character. 5.

The first thought I had is that if I had taken this I would have allowed the background to be overexposed to bring the postman out of the shadows. But I have to admit the concept and execution makes me smile and so I can connect with the image. I particularly like his pink sweat bands and is that pepper spray for dogs attached to his bag? 6
