Quite a lot of detail is lost due to overexposure, the faces start to loose shape, especially on the right half of the face (their right, left for the viewer)

great image, absolutely, but a bit of a stretch for this challenge, the title is needed. Added explanation : What I mean here with the comment is that without the title I would have a hard time to understand that it is about an expecation outside the frame of the image. With the interpretation given by the title it is perfectly o.k., and the image itself is absolutely top class. Sharpness, framing, color, detail, capture of the moment, just perfect.

I really like the lighting here, harsh, but it emphasises the character of the face. I find the expression more one of surprise than of sadness, which is suggested by the title.

Good expression, a lovely image with great colors and light. Good composition, good fit to theme. Later comment : I keep coming back to this one, it is a simple picture, but very attractive and fitting, the whole atmosphere. One of best in the challenge.
