Seems to me you'd stop and see...by aimeethetooComment: 8 - Beautiful image - love your focal points. Can't help but wonder if a variation in cropping/framing may have given this even more - like to have seen the focal areas more centered or just 'further' in the frame, if that makes sense. |

IMG_8442web.jpgby MarjoComment: Ha, nice capture - you must have been quick to get them. Like the 'story'. Watch dogs with a vantage point and a cushion. Funny pair. Little one might get lost, but this would likely come up well in b&w/tones too. edit:typoMessage edited by author 2008-06-17 16:14:11. |

Eagle Nebula, M16 by CyMaNComment: Apologies for mistaking you for jlanoue, although surely it is not an insult. Disappointed of course this didn't ribbon - maybe one day there will be an Astrophotography Challenge. Maybe. Thank you for sharing these at DPC. |

The Creators Masterpiece -- The Milky Way rising over the Pines by jlanoueComment: I gave this a 7 (the pines mainly), alas I was #81 and my vote was 'scrubbed' due to my 'call' on most of the other entries. All I can say (and hope for) is that one day they have an Astrophotography Challenge - maybe then, maybe, an authentic image such as this will be able to take the throne. Anyway, congratulations on the ribbon. I also hope those with the knowledge give you some feedback on your tutorial, widefield astrophotography. I mistook Eagle Nebula, M16 for yours. However it is good to see more of this photography at DPC. Thank you again for sharing, some of us really appreciate these images and this style of photography. |

Eagle Nebula, M16 by CyMaNComment: 8 - Only one person at DPC who produces this 'realm'. As I've said before, 'if only' something could be done to get rid of the noise in the black areas. Otherwise - good discernible depth in the nebula. I like the star 'bursts', but perhaps a slight rotation to get them 'straight'... but I am no astrophotographer.... but you certainly are. Thank you again for bringing these to DPC. |
