7 - This creature is amazing, like a body made of pipe cleaners. For me, if you had cropped the bottom instead of the top (the wings) it would be much better. Also 'fore focus' too. Would just love to see that abdomen in detail. Those antennae are, amazing.

8 - Good macro, but is missing something. It needs something to bring it 'to life' more. Perhaps a different background, perhaps more emphasis on the greens/browns/coppers, not sure. My first thought on seeing it was that it is a good 'matt' image, so yes, perhaps less 'shine', more emphasis on the textures, would make it near perfect.
