Wildlife IIby courtenay27Comment: 5 - Good potential. Like the background and colors. Criticism; looks a bit grainy, some loss of whites/contrast issues around the nape/neck, but difficult with this bird. Sharper and more detail in the feathers, and not so tightly cropped (even in camera) make this better in my opinion. |

Emperor Gooseby Marc923Comment: 6 - Nice 'environs' capture. Criticism; looks a little grainy and/or some sharpening issues. Sharper, focal wise, with more definition in the feathers/body (ideally head as well) make this even better in my opinion. Looks like there may be some quality 'loss' in this too from resizing possibly, but difficult to discern. |

Australian Black Swanby anthonyczajaComment: 7 - Nice. Criticism; 640 height would be better. Perhaps a little more context too, depending of course what is there/you had to work with. Perhaps a slight nudge rotation up on the right for a little more balance, not sure. Also not sure on the vertical framing, nor the frame itself. |

Hand over the anchovies and nobody gets hurt.by studio1graphicsComment: 7 - Very nice. Criticism; the reflection included is another shot again so won't 'go there'. The pose and eyes are very good in this, like your title too. Really only the 'blown'/overexposed parts on the head/crown, some of the beak/bill and the eye. Perhaps a little sharper, but difficult. Like the composition and 640 x 640. |

Whack!by lectrolComment: 6 - Mostly for unusual (and seemingly natural) capture. Assuming that is a duck or .. bird, 'whacking' the rabbit/hare. Criticism; obviously opportune, so difficult to say 'sharper' - but even the motion blur is so 'much' that it is difficult to discern what's doing the whacking. Can't see a head. This at 640 (even if it meant more 'context'/background if the quality wasn't there for this crop bigger) likely have helped. Not sure on the frame. |

Winter Visitationby BalkoComment: 7 - Nice cardinal shot. Reds look well controlled. Criticism; very difficult with the dark branch and I'm sure any tweaking of contrast/saturation/etc was not easy, but 'if only' there was more definition in the feet and body/feathers around that 'area', make this even better in my opinion. |

Curiosityby DeniseBernadetteComment: 6 - Nice close up. Criticism; perhaps a little more height in the frame, depending what you had to work with, sharper on the face, nose/eyes especially and a fraction more 'shine/glint' in the eyes would likely have made this better in my opinion. |

Reminisce Roadby messerschmittComment: I gave this a 4. The toning worked well. The main criticism I had was that the 'road' was not the main subject and the main subject was trying to portray a 'mood' (melancholy, etc) that is, not my 'preferred style'. Without the 'subject' I would likely have scored this higher. |

Reposeby idnicComment: A little 'belated' but I meant to comment on this long ago. I gave it an 8. Liked the perspective/angle, colors and pose. In 'retrospect', perhaps the white background a little more subtle, 'somehow', perhaps a slight variation in lighting, may have made this even better in my opinion, not sure as 'works' as is. An 'oops' anyway re the 'basic editing'. |
